Town or res publica , summer is a interfering time in any plot ; and in add-on to the numerous colored blooms we all love , it is the season of what I call ‘ flying flowers ’ – bees , butterflies , moths , hoverflies and dragonflies .

1. PEACOCK

paint LADYmigrate here from North Africa , to multiply on thistles . The fresh hatch butterflies feed hungrily on buddleja heyday .

8.SMALL TORTOISESHELL
