There is something special about Angel Food Cake . This light reading of a sponge bar became popular in the late 1880 ’s in America , and it received it ’s name because of its airy lightness that was said to be the “ food of the angels ” .

But there are time when that much cake is just too much . ( Did I just say there can be too much cake ? ? ? ) That is on the dot why many food market bring down the bar in one-half and sell it at their bakery .
Instead of buying one-half of a cake ( there is just something unfulfilling about getting ‘ only ’ one-half ) , try this recipe made in a received loaf pan . It is gross for twosome , diminished families , or those who are watching their helping sizes .
If desire , you may frost the cake , drizzle syrup over top , or serve with fruit . you’re able to even have several topping set away to let each soul to make it their own ! My preference….to run through it evident .

Ingredients :
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 loving cup all - purpose flour
