Summer has arrived in full force here at the farm !   Long croak are the threats of crispy frigid nights or an other season frost .   In their place , we now have affectionate eve followed by even warm days – a perfect formula for healthy garden growth .

Today is garlic harvest daytime at the farm ! One of my favorite days .

The garden harvest now include daily hauls of cucumbers , zucchini , C. P. Snow pea , dinero , peppers and more – and the   Lycopersicon esculentum have begun to constitute thick on their vine . It wo n’t be foresightful until the familiar sounds of the pressure cooker start out to seethe from the kitchen with plate - made   salsa , picante and alimentary paste sauce made consecutive from the garden .

The fence row in front of the garden is in full bloom with the daylillies – it’s hard to believe the entire bed was made from tiny transplants just a few years back.

One of our experiments this year – planting potatoes in our straw bale pallet crate . So far – it has worked like a appealingness !

Our Black Pearl ornamental pepper begin to fruit – this has become one of my new favorites – not only are the peppers beautiful – they are tasty and HOT !
