Today we get a sensational selection of photos from a trip-up she took toSissinghurst Castle Gardenlast class . The garden is located near Cranbrook , Kent , UK , and like many historical watershed in England , the website has serve many purposes and lived several lives before becoming the garden that it is today . It would be far too long to get into here , but it is absolutely worth reading more about on the National Trust ’s website : The History of Sissinghurst Castle Garden

If you obtain these image inspiring ( and who wouldn’t?),Fine Gardeningwill be hosting a UK garden turn to a similar domain in England during late May of 2025 . guarantee your spot before Jan. 1st to get $ 300 off , so be sure tofind out more information here , if you ’re interested !
Hello question if you would like to use any of these photos taken at Sissinghurst Castle Garden in tardy May of 2023 . The picture I am sharing are chiefly flora fromThe White Garden .
A wide view ofThe White Garden . Some of the cow parsley(Anthriscussylvestris , zone 6–9)is visible as well as thecentaureaand silvery lambs ’ ear(Stachysbyzantinaand cvs . , Zones 4–8 ) .

View of crushed hedges with drifts of white allium(Alliumstipitatum‘White Giant ’ , Zones 4–8 ) .
A conclusion - up of Anthriscus sylvestris . When chatting with people who live nearby , they mention that ( although the moo-cow parsley was newfangled to me ) – beautiful and omnipresent at the clock time , it would die down completely in a short while . In the US it is known as furious chervil in some domain and is considered an encroaching plant .
Eastern shooting star(Primulameadia , Zones 4–8 ) – I knew this works as a purple or pinkish spring native ; had not learn a white flowering variety .

Firework starthistle(Centaurealugdunensis , Zones 3–8 ) – this bright white heyday with purple caught my center because most of the centaurea I have seen in the United States have been purple or dispirited .
Scots rose(Rosaspinosissima , Zones 3–9).These plant life were tucked into the white garden . My sojourn to the garden was a bit too early in the time of year to see very many roses in bloom , so I am happy I grow to see some of these in the white garden .
Honeywort(Cerinthemajor , Zones 7–10)and variegated purple milk thistle(Galactites tomentosa , annual). This endearing renowned purple , green , and white plant combination was in one of the other garden areas at Sissinghurst .

Finally , this hayfield area looked so lush , inviting , and passive .
Thank you so much for sharing a taste of this garden infuse in story , Cindy ! You beautifully captured both the garden spaces as a whole , and each case-by-case flora . I really go in London for a year after college , and this postal service really brought back some storage . I might have to go digging through my archives to find the exposure I took of public garden I visited while there .
