Fleeting frozen beauty

After a sudden drop in temperature , my suburban Philadelphia garden was transformed with a shimmering finish of ice . Without much precaution but with my cell sound in hand , I managed to capture the magic as matureshrubsandevergreensglistened with ice that melt aside almost as chop-chop as it had constitute .

The cultivar name ofCupressus glabra‘Blue Ice ’ ( Zones 5–9 ) come to to the puritanic - white-haired cast to the foliage , but it is doubly appropriate in this scenery .
