For many years , Dutch Flower Group ( DFG ) has been trust to make the flowered range more sustainable , through several initiatives like Floriculture Sustainability Initiative ( FSI ) . Wild harvesting of leafage or cosmetic greens is presently out of orbit within the FSI sustainable sourcing guidelines , because none of the approved certification schemes makes allowance for crazy harvesting practices . That is why a syndicate of FSI members and partners , comprising leading company ColorÍginz ( part of Dutch Flower Group ) , Westland Bloemen Export ( WBE ) , Adomex International and Floral Trade Group , have start a focussed task to explore the possibility of developing a mutual schema for raging harvest home of foliage .
More transparency and a more sustainable flowered chainThe goals of the enquiry are to break down the risks in the supplying strand of risky harvest flowered production , to name a roadmap for reducing the sustainability risk in these supply Sir Ernst Boris Chain and to test the theatrical role of authority curriculum in advance sustainable wild harvested flora .

About the research and the projectThe enquiry is being behave under the spark advance of Associate Prof. David Bek who is a cobalt - lead-in of the Sustainable Production and Consumption cluster in the Centre for Business of Society at Coventry University , UK . He has a track record of inquiry focusing specifically on sustainability within agri - trade good note value chains . In gain the project is being co - funded by IDH .
