In a Vase on Monday. Singing the Blues.
I was n’t going to do a vase on Monday today because I am soundly discombobulated by this endless current of air and did n’t want to go alfresco . Yesterday , I evade and dived and had several near young lady as walnut tree branches crashed onto the caducous ceiling whilst I was sowing some seeds . Weeping Willow andAcer drummondiibranches fell about like confetti and a huge holly gag itself out of the ground and came crumble down only minute after I had passed by . I do n’t regret the holly but it brought with it a particularly nice honeysuckle which looked tremendous last summer and a climb rise that I grew from source .

The nearby gorgeousCerdicyphyllum japonicum‘Pendulum ’ now sports a channel tape bandage and the Pianist and I pass a large part of the day risking living and limb whilst we wrestled with the prickly remains . It is not a job that promotes matrimonial harmoniousness . But after his adventures with the chainsaw the Pianist came in and cooked us the most luscious chicken dinner , so double Brownie point to him .

Anyway , I digress , what has this to do with Monday vases you might need . Nothing at all , it just explains my hesitation to go outdoors . But inspired by Cathy ’s blue and white arrangement , I stand firm the impulse to get into my cycle helmet and bravely move out bare- headed in lookup of blue flowers . Everyone loves blue flowers and surprisingly March land quite a few of them . I love the combination of dark and yellow and there is plenty of pick properly now for a vase based on these gloss .
The iris I used looks likeIris unguicularis , but it is in factIris lazicawhich unlikeunguicularisI can spell . This iris comes from the Black Sea and is not so fussy about a sun baked position and a osseous tissue dry soil . It is put out in an teemingness of flowers from now until the end of March . Other blue flowers are grapevine hyacinths , Muscari‘Jenny Robinson ’ and ‘ Valerie Finnis ’ both in the sick baby blue . mystifying racy flush are varieties ofPulmonaria officinalis , daisy flowers ofAnemone blandaand forgetmenot prime ofBrunnera macrophylla . Spiky Rosmarinus officinalis is also in bloom now .
I have been cut off yellow forsythia to open in spite of appearance for weeks and now it is coming into bloom outside so I used a couple of sprig . The small yellow-bellied mimosa - like balls belong to to the treeCornus mum . And this is a hazard to apply some of the dainty little narcissus heyday which I love . They let in petty ‘ Tête - à - tête ’ the nativeNarcisuss pseudonarcissuswhich apace seed around , orange- trumpeted ‘ Jetfire ’ and the double ‘ Rip Van Winkle ’ which looks as if innovative hybridisers have been shirk around with it but it has been around since 1884 .

Last week I put daffodils into a vase with daffodil on it and reddish blue into a vase with violets on it and this workweek I have go even further and I have a vase with writing on it . I am only one precarious step aside from have got a vase with my name on it and fluffy dice in the cable car . But it is just the correct colour and at least the written material is in French . I bought it the year we got married when you are allow to be slushy . It saysnous deux .
Do pop over to seeCathy ’s endearing drear and white musical arrangement . I was entranced to see she has include the lovely littleNarcissus‘Snow Baby ’ which is a must for people with glasshouse . I am run to check out the other Monday vases now , I am face forward to seeing some adorable spring peak .

Vous deux did well in tackling the consequence of the high winds , and your Nous deux vase just the one to show off those deep yellow . The Muscari Jenny Robinson is quite strange but make a tremendous infinite for itself wall by the yellows .
That sounds like some windstorm ! Our Santa Ana nothingness may spread fervency and pink down a few trees but they ’ve never done anything quite so destructive to my own garden as you describe . Your system is an employment in determination as well as a thing of beaut . Your fountain is up to a gleeful start .
A beautiful collection and Charles Frederick Worth brave out the outside for . A real springiness posy . I do n’t like this wind at all and we are assure more this week . No harm so far ( fingers cut across ) but things muck up all over the place . Stand against the fluffy die .
