Filling every space with plants

This is my garden promised land in the coastal Mississippi city of Bay Saint Louis . We have about 1/2 acre , and it is filled to the rim .
The ardent climate means that beautiful alien plants like this shuttlecock of paradise ( Strelitzia , Zones 9 – 11 ) thrive . The strange heyday shape is to allow itspollinators — which arebirds — to set down on the flower and entree thenectar .
This garden is a lavish jungle , with plants insert everywhere .
Ahanging basketof petunias ( Petuniahybrid , Zones 10–11 or as an annual ) adds beauty to the golf shot .
Got an older wheelbarrow ? Why not repurpose it as a plantation owner ? Cheeryannualsgive this barrow a new life .
Wall - mounted quite a little of genus Gerbera daisies ( Gerberajamesonii , Zones 8–11 or as annual ) are a room to fit yet more plant into a limited infinite .
Lots ofcontainersfilled with plants , birdhouse , and an unusual centrepiece — an antique clawfoot tub — give a hick charm to this section of the garden .
There is room forvegetablestoo , like these thriving celery plants .
