One of the best direction to complete any large task is to create a building timeline showing what needs to be done – and by when . In fact , it ’s   really theonlyway to keep everything on docket , moving forward , and perhaps most significantly – on budget !

Since we are creditworthy for organise the entire physical process   of the “ Simple House Project ” – having an accurate   timeline is critical .   It will help   us keep the flow of the cognitive operation on track – let us acknowledge when we want to have everything from the   groundwork poured to the kitchen cabinets   installed .

Our timeline is unique in that in addition to   coordinating the various hire trades for the project – we will also be responsible for complete   most of   the DoI . In addition to drywall , installing floors ,   hang console and painting – that also admit   building many of the items   that will go into the menage – like the kitchen island , table , bathroom vanity and sliding barn doors .

As part of that timeline – we also have to consider when to sell our house . It ’s queer – every time we write an article for this series – it makes us realize just how much there is to do . All the more understanding for a timeline !

During the past three months of 2015 , we finalized much of the paperwork side of the sign of the zodiac – including foundation and   building program and the soil tests for the septic and well systems .

While the actual building mental process wo n’t start out until the soil begins to move in late April or May – there are many   undertaking that wecanget originate on during the pre - build months of January through April . Projects such as building the interior   barn doors and kitchen island .

We hope completing projects like our back porch remdoel will help our house sell quickly when the time comes

Not only will work up them save big money on the budget –   it see they will be   ready   to go when needed during the build . Of naturally , in addition to all of that – we just desire to make   a lot of what decease in to our nursing home !

Last but not least – we realise there are perish to be variables in the process that can change the timeline . No matter how much we plan –   things like the weather , material time lag , or of course of action “ human error ” can all change the timing and outcome of the project . And then there are the “ what if ’s ” of the cognitive operation .

For us powerful now , the biggest “ what if ” is our current business firm . As in what if it sell too soon or not soon enough ?   In an idealistic world we would put the house up for cut-rate sale in August , trade it by the last of September , and move out and into the novel house November 1st .

However , early Spring is simply the best meter to put homes on the market place .   We ’ve make up one’s mind to put the business firm up for sale in May , realizing that yes , it could deal fast and leave us scrambling a bit – but   we would rather have that choice than the cerebration of being saddled with two places for very long .

At the conclusion of the day , if the house sells quickly , we can deal with it . As a positive , since the sign we are move to will be small – it ’s not like we will have a ton of items to put into warehousing ! After all – it is called the “ Simple House ” for a reasonableness ! 🙂   As always , you just have to go with the rate of flow and have fun with the summons .
